Summer Reading Program

June and July means summer reading fun! No matter your age, we have a program for you!

Children’s Department is hosting a summer reading program for youth from birth to age 12 from June 11 through July 20. There are lots of fun activities going on during that six weeks for children and their families, like

  • sign language classes
  • make and take musical instruments
  • Leonardo returns!
  • rock painting
  • rock candy
  • Professor Steve
  • Windsong Ensemble performance

along with drawings each week and at the end for prizes! Please sign up in the Children’s Department to get more info (including calendars and reading logs) starting June 11.

Teen and adult patrons can also get in on the fun! From June 11 through July 21, anyone 7th grade and up (including a separate teen group; older teenagers can choose if they would prefer to join adult or teen group) can fill out an entry ticket for each book read from the Evergreen system and turn in for your chance to win weekly prizes or a grand prize at the end!
